FAS rebelled is Burger King, seeing in it a reference to the siege of Leningrad

INTERFAX.RU — the St. Petersburg office of the FAS will consider the issue on initiation of proceedings on the fact of violation of the legislation on advertising a chain of fast food restaurants Burger King, which launched in St. Petersburg advertising campaign with the slogan “You will not die of hunger in this city” in English.
As reports a press-Department service, the information received from the media. The advertising network of catering, contained the slogan “You won’t starve to death in this city”, which translated into Russian language means “You will not die of hunger in this city.”

“Many of us were born and raised in Leningrad. Some have relatives who survived the blockade, and someone lost their loved ones. Therefore, this journalistic inquiry will be reviewed by us as a statement. In the near future, the office will consider the issue on initiation of proceedings on grounds of violation of the law on advertising”, — quotes the press service quoted the head of the OFAS Vadim Vladimirov.
Vladimirov and management staff as citizens of St. Petersburg are outraged by such advertising, said the administration.
