Israel refused to stop the strikes on Syria

The defense Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman said that Russia’s plans to close the airspace over Syria will not change its tactics in the region. He told about it in interview of radio station Kan.

“We have acted and will act judiciously and responsibly and only in cases when there is no other choice. So our plans have not changed and will not change,” said Lieberman.

The Minister also said that his country will not allow the transformation of Syria into a springboard for Iranian aggression against Israel. He admitted in the absence of intentions to engage in disputes with Russia and expressed hope for improving the coordination of actions on both sides.

Responsibility for the incident with the Russian Il-20 shot down by Syrian air defenses after the attack, Israeli F-16 fighters, according to Lieberman, lies entirely on the army of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

September 23, official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov accused Israel that he introduced the Russian side in error about the place of the strike in Syria on 17 September, and also announced plans of attack for a minute before it started.

Judging by the tough statement by Israeli defense Minister Lieberman, in which no shadow of regret, he not only “does not appreciate the level of relations with Russia”, as suggested by our Ministry of defense, but wants that we are not left in the slightest doubt.
