In Northern Thailand, in Chiang Rai, it is an unusual Buddhist temple Vitrenko.
Its decoration made with materials of white color. But this is not the only feature of the White temple.

The first thing to notice the man approaching Atroshchenko a lot of hands, in desperation, reaches for the sky. So the Creator of the White temple Chalermchai Kositpipat portrayed hell — an endless pit of human passions and desires. When you cross the bridge over the “hell” you will be greeted by statues of celestial guardians.

Starting on the bridge, you have to go forward. This movement symbolizes the Buddhist path to enlightenment. If a tourist in this moment I decide not to go on, the guards really won’t let him come back — will have to pass through.

The white temple was built in 1997. In may 2014 a strong earthquake seriously damaged Vitrenko. Fortunately, the temple was restored almost in its original form.
