Beautiful glacier sky blue color can be seen in Patagonia on the border of Argentina and Chile. His ice is so dense and compacted that it absorbs all the colors of the spectrum except blue.

The grey glacier is part of the southern Patagonian glacial plateau, the third largest on the planet after Antarctica and Greenland. Over the past decade it has significantly decreased in size due to climate change.

In 1996, the glacier had a total area of 270 square kilometers and a length of 28 km, are Now a mass of ice 6 kilometers wide and over 30 meters high. But grey is still one of the largest in Patagonia.

The glacier gives rise to grey lake with an area of 3250 ha. the name lake was named for the color of the water. It’s grey and muddy because of the silt from the glacier. In the waters of the lake are floating chunks of ice sky-blue color.

The climate in Patagonia is harsh, it is reminiscent of Alaska. The average population density of the region is about 2 inhabitants per square kilometer. But the overwhelming beauty of nature attracts many tourists. Trails they climb the mountain to admire the majestic spectacle.
