INTERFAX.RU the President of the United States Donald trump is going to revoke the security clearance of a number of American officials who are or have been connected with the investigation of “Russian business”, or criticized the work of the head of state, according to The Washington Post, citing two unnamed White house staff.
“President trump told his advisers that he intends to withdraw more tolerance to classified materials in the framework of further measures against people who criticized him or played a role in the investigation of an alleged Russian interference in the presidential election of 2016”, — the newspaper writes.
The Washington Post notes that the measures will affect those mentioned in the list of the White house: it featured the names of the former heads of the us intelligence services, which, according to the U.S. administration may need to deny access to sensitive data.
According to the newspaper, trump can start to do that soon.
However, the close of the American leader said that currently they are trying to take urgent measures so that the list has been revised.
