Anti-abortion quarreled Yaroslavl Cossacks.
In Yaroslavl on August 12 at the initiative of the Cossacks and with the blessing of Metropolitan of Yaroslavl and Rostov Panteleimon held a procession in the protection of families and children and for an end to abortion. The procession, which was attended by several dozen people, lasted six hours and was terminated on the spot for performing prayers near the temples. Yaroslavl ataman of city Cossack society Ilya Semenov called to join the procession of the Cossacks “mummers” and stated that such methods abortions will not be eradicated. In the regional Department of health said that twice a year send out to medical facilities, “information letter” about the “days of silence”, in which it is possible not to hold a planned abortion, but not the obligation, to refuse them.
The procession at the initiative of the Yaroslavl divisional Cossack society “for the protection of family and childhood, for an end to abortion, in support of the large family of and in memory of all murdered children as born and unborn” was blessed by the Metropolitan of Yaroslavl and Rostov Panteleimon and timed to the birthday of Tsarevich Alexei, the heir to the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II (August 12, 1904, new style).
A few days before the holding of the procession in the community, “Yaroslavsky Cossacks” “Vkontakte” was published the statement of the Yaroslavl ataman of city Cossack society Ilya Semenov against the procession.
