MOSCOW, 8 Aug — RIA Novosti. Eyewitnesses took video of a tornado circling over the Ladoga lake.
A rare natural phenomenon seen in the vicinity of lake Ladoga on August 6. A tornado was observed in the village of Zaostrov Volkhov district of Leningrad region.
A whirlwind circled above the water, but had not reached the shore.
On this day, rescuers warned residents of the area about the impending bad weather. According to the regional Central Board MOE, it was expected heavy rains and wind up to 15 meters per second. Forecasters did not record weather anomalies.
