The CEC will consider just three of the initiative of a referendum on raising the retirement age

Wednesday, August 8, in the agenda of the meeting of the Central election Commission there is a question “about the initiatives of the referendum of the Russian Federation”. Their number is not specified. One of the interlocutors “Kommersant” claims that will be examined from three initiatives on the referendum.

Secretary of the CEC, Maya Grishina told TASS that one of the initiatives belongs to the Moscow group on referendum, one of the applicants is the candidate in mayors of Moscow from “just Russia” Ilya Sviridov. Another group was created in the Moscow region, she also proposed a referendum on raising the retirement age. The proposed question is also how Mr. Sviridov, told “Kommersant” in the CEC, but who is the applicant, did not elaborate. Kommersant’s source in the CEC claims that the initiative came “just a group of citizens-activists”.

Another application was filed by the regional organization of the Communist party in the Irkutsk region, told “Kommersant” in the party. It is faster than the rest sent a request to the regional election Commission and held a meeting. Recall the question of spywares (he filed an application to hold a referendum just before the Communists) reads: “for You to the age established by the legislation of the Russian Federation on pension provision as at 1 July 2018, at which there is a right to pension for old age, not changed?” Roughly formulated question of the Communist party: it additionally is specified the current age of retirement.

The interlocutor of “Kommersant” in the Central electoral Commission believes that the approval can get all the wording, at least, proposed by Ilya Sviridov and the Communist party: “They were prepared with the participation of the legal Department of the CEC”. After considering the CEC and collect signatures in the regions reject the referendum question, only by the constitutional court.
