In Russia came into force the law on increase of the state duty for the biometric passport

MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/ — Now the state duty for the issuance of such a document is 5 thousand rubles.

The new law increases the fee for issuance of biometric passports to citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as establishing a new fee for the issuance of certificate of registration of the vehicle, a plastic base, entered into force on 3 August. The law includes increasing the state duty for registration of passports with electronic media, up from 3.5 thousand to 5 thousand rubles. Increases the state fee for the issuance of foreign passports for citizens under the age of 14 years — from 1.5 thousand to 2.5 thousand rubles. In both cases we are talking about the new generation passports.

Also installed a new type of state duty for issue of certificate of registration of the vehicle, including replacement of lost or worn, if the document of new generation is made of expendables on a plastic base. In this case, the fee will be 1.5 thousand rubles. The state duty for issuing national driving licences of the new sample, including replacement of lost or worn will be 3 thousand rubles.

“The current amount of the state taxes will offset the costs of the Federal budget by more than 42% of the actual costs of the Ministry of interior (based on the provision of one public services the amount of compensation cost will not exceed 1054,39 rubles — approx. TASS). Therefore, the Federal budget expenditures on the provision of state services for issuing documents containing microchip [new generation] to grow an average of 1 thousand rubles. The proposed increase in the size of state fees will provide annual revenues to the Federal budget amounting to 42.3 billion rubles”, — stated in the explanatory note to the document.
