“Saturday will be the first in the history of Aeronautics, a flight over the highest peak of Russia and Europe — mount Elbrus. The flights of the heat balloon after Elbrus is carried out in the framework of the project “to Raise Russia”, — stated in the message.
According to the company, thermal balloon “Russia”, piloted by President of Federation of Aeronautics of the Stavropol territory Vitaly by Nenashevym, early in the morning will rise into the air in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the origins of the Kuban river, and land near Kislovodsk, flight time will be about 4 hours.
Balloon “Russia” — a unique balloon with a volume of 4 cubic meters, which is almost twice the standard amount of balloons. It depicts the state flag of the Russian Federation and the flags of all regions of the country, including regions of the North Caucasus Federal district. Earlier balloon “Russia” flew through the Kerch Strait and the following points flight will be lake Baikal and the Eastern Bosporus Strait in the sea of Japan. In the framework of the flights conducted research work on studying the atmospheric layers, according to the JSC “resorts of the North Caucasus”.
