Medications prescribed budget
The state Duma approved the extension of procurement of drugs.
From 2019 in the state program “Seven nosologies” will include five new diseases. Procurement of drugs for patients with these diagnoses, the Federal budget will allocate an additional 10 billion rubles.
Today the state Duma adopted in the third reading initiated by the Council of the Federation law on expanding the list of orphan (rare) diseases and the financing of their treatment from the regional to the Federal level. Amendments to the law “About bases of health protection of citizens in the Russian Federation”.
In the state program “Seven nosologies” in 2019 it is proposed to include five new diseases: hemolytic uremic syndrome, juvenile arthritis with systemic beginning and mucopolysaccharidosis (types I, II, VI). Now the pharmaceutical provision of patients with such diagnoses occurs at the expense of regional budgets. Most of them, according to the head of the Federation Council Committee on social policy Valery Ryazan, “are unable to fully perform its obligations under the provision of drugs due to their high cost.” The procurement of drugs under the state program “Seven nosologies”, by contrast, are financed from the Federal budget. In 2018, the costs for this program provided in the amount of 43.6 billion rubles.
