Medvedev has criticized officials of the North Caucasus for the inefficiency
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has criticized officials of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal district for poor performance. This is stated in the materials published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Claims Prime Minister called the execution of projects in the field of socio-economic development, as well as in the sphere of fuel and energy complex of the region. “To note the poor performance of officials of constituent entities of the Russian Federation included in North Caucasus Federal district, execution of the instructions previously given by the government Commission on the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal district”, — stated in the message.
Medvedev instructed the heads of “Gazprom” and “Russian grids” Alexey Miller and Paul Livenskomu to perform the work of local authorities, performing the orders of the government Commission in the energy industry. The Prime Minister has recommended that companies prepare the program of modernization of gas distribution networks and electricity networks in the North Caucasus Federal district.
These projects will be funds received in repayment of debts for consumed energy, the report said. In addition, Gazprom and rosseti will be able to obtain ownership of some energy assets in the North Caucasus in the repayment of debt. The report did not indicate what assets it is.
During the meeting Prime Minister instructed the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) to check the tariffs in the regions of the North Caucasus and bring them “into line with economically reasonable values”.
