The state Duma has extended the acceptance of amendments to the pension bill until 24 September
Moscow. July 19. INTERFAX.RU — IN the state Duma extended more than a month from 18 August to 24 September — the time by which approves the amendments to the bill on the amendment of pension legislation, said the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin on Thursday.
“Yesterday, the Committee adopted a decision on prolongation of the discussion, providing amendments from 18 August to 24 September,” — said Volodin at a meeting of the state Duma.
Volodin explained that the decision to adjust the end date of acceptance of the amendments adopted by the state Duma Committee for labour and social policy.
In the autumn Parliament will convene in regular session only after a single voting day (September 9), the first plenary session to be held on September 11.
Thus, the parliamentarians after returning to Okhotny Ryad after the summer holidays and work in elections will be more about a half moon to guide the Committee his amendment on adjusting the government’s pension bill.
In the state Duma discussed the government bill on the amendment of pension legislation, one of which is the increase in the retirement age. The bill submitted to the Duma on June 16. Implementation of the proposed measures will create conditions for increasing the level of pensions, in particular given the increase in life expectancy, as well as for the annual indexation of pensions above inflation, stated in the explanatory note to the bill. It also details the government’s arguments in support of raising retirement age from the current 55 and 60 years for women and men to 63 and 65 years respectively.
The Presidium of the faction “United Russia” took a decision on the consolidated voting for the bill. This was done according to the previously adopted decision of the Presidium of the General Council of the party.
Representatives of the opposition factions of the state Duma — the KPRF, the LDPR and “Fair Russia” declare their readiness to vote against the adoption of the government bill.
