According to the Agency, the cruiser found at a depth of 434 meters near the island of Ulleungdo. The hull was badly damaged due to numerous bullet holes from the Japanese shells, but the deck is in good condition.

The cruiser “Dmitry Donskoy” was part of the Russian Imperial Navy and participated in the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905. After the battle of Tsushima towards Vladivostok entered into an unequal battle against six Japanese cruisers and four destroyers, which received heavy damage.
