In the Chinese subway was opened the exhibition of the British Museum (photo)
Seven exhibits from the collections of the British Museum during the month will please the eyes of the passengers of the metro station South Shaanxi Road in Shanghai.
Among presented on the display of works is a depiction of the ancient Egyptian papyrus “Book of Emerging Forth into the Light”, known as “the Book of the dead”.
From other exhibits — “Lewis Chessman”, a chess piece made in Norway sometime between 1150 and 1200.
