In stores may appear shelves for products with vegetable fats
MOSCOW, 14 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Ministry of industry and trade proposes to place in the stores of milk products with milk fat substitute separately from dairy products that such substitutes do not contain, a draft government resolution published on the portal regulation.gov.ru.
A draft document prepared by the Agency, amends the rules of sale of separate kinds of the goods. “At the present time along with traditional dairy products on the shelves in the stores you can find similar with them milk and other foods that are produced with the replacement of milk fat”, — stated in the explanatory note to the project.
The Ministry indicates that the composition of individual products milk fat may be absent altogether.
“This does not mean that these products are hazardous to health and cannot be eaten, however, the consumer should be able to easily distinguish these types of dairy products,” — emphasizes the Ministry.
Therefore, the Agency proposes to require the separate placement of dairy products in the trade hall or other place of sale depending on their component composition.
“Milk and dairy composite products — products that are produced without using non-dairy fat (e.g. yoghurt with fruit filling), should be placed separately from milk and other products produced with the replacement of milk fat”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
“The proposed change will allow buyers to avoid confusion when choosing dairy products, will create convenience for their orientation in the range, because the consumer will clearly understand what kind of dairy products buys. In addition, this change will promote competition,” adds the Ministry.
