Warsaw airport 14 people were injured in the chemical leak

Fourteen employees of the airport of Chopin in Warsaw were damaged in the leak of a toxic substance that occurred in the main cargo terminal. According to the State fire service of Poland.

The press-Secretary of the air gates Hubert Wojciechowski said that all the victims sent to the hospital under medical supervision. He added that the victims complain of nausea and headache.

“The leak caused no threat to passengers and not impact on the operation of the airport,” said Wojciechowski. He stressed that the situation is under control of the responsible services.

According to preliminary information, an unknown substance — phenylacetonitrile stored in 36 barrels. The leak allegedly came from one of them. The place offers specialized group of chemical and environmental surveillance.
