The Foundation of Vladimir Vysotsky will hold a competition for young singer-songwriters
MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Charitable Fund of Vladimir Vysotsky announced the acceptance of applications for participation in the all-Russian competition of young singer-songwriters, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the artist. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday the head of the Fund, the Chairman of the jury Nikita Vysotsky.

“On the eve of his father’s birthday in the Museum of Vladimir Vysotsky was attended by President Vladimir Putin, we took him for exposure. Conversation and suddenly had the idea that Vysotsky once the wave of “tape revolution” has become incredibly popular. And, maybe, make sense for young people — Vysotsky wrote his first song at the age of 23 — to make some kind of a festival outside the genre, outside of the restrictions for authors who write in the Russian language”, — said Nikita Vysotsky, noting that the proposal to hold the festival was made President.
The conditions of competition
In “Vysotsky. Fest” is open to musicians aged 18 to 35 years. Participants must send their entries till the 20th of July through the form on the contest’s official website vfest.ru.
Professional jury will choose the 160 tracks and invite their authors from 22 to 25 July at qualifying concerts in the cities of the eight Federal districts: in Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Rostov-on-don, Pyatigorsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk. After that 50 musicians will get the chance to be on stage, “Vysotsky” festival “Invasion-2018”, where and determine the ten finalists.
On the eve of the final stage during the month, with the contestants will be working music industry professionals: producers, sound engineers and artists as Tutors. The final will have the format of the gala concert in Moscow in November, where audience voting will determine three winners.
“We’re not leaving these guys from the top 10 the next year with them will work “Nashe Radio”, the Fund of Vladimir Vysotsky will be possible to produce them,” — said Vysotsky. All finalists will receive a gift certificate for the entry in one of the capital’s studios. Partner of the competition the social network “Vkontakte” will determine the winner of its audience award, who will receive the opportunity to promote the song in the social network for an audience of millions.
Response
The producer of “Invasion”, a member of the jury of the “Vysotsky. Fest” Andrey Matveev has noted high interest to the contest: the organizers have already received about 400 applications for participation. “The contest was launched just a week ago, but today we see the powerful dynamics of the response. Every day the competition website is visited by about 6 thousand people,” — said Matveev. Vysotsky added that interest in the show was shown not only by Russian singer-songwriters, but also musicians from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
It is expected that the competition will become an annual event.
