The author of the comic Hihus died of cancer
MOSCOW, 30 Jul — RIA Novosti. Artist and comics artist Paul Dry, better known as Hihus, has died at age 50 from cancer, said on Saturday night his friend Konstantin Komardin and writer Sergei Kuznetsov.
“Hihus JHA, light your way and clean light. But we will miss you… he had cancer, Israeli doctors said that I can’t help you, so he fully understood what was happening. Publicly he doesn’t want to announce, but I slightly talked about this. As far as I know, dead easy,” — he wrote in Facebook.
Hihus is one of the most famous Russian painters of the comics, the leader of the movement of the member of “People of dead fish”, Creator of the first Russian comics festival “kommissia”, the ideologist of the project “Respect.” He was born in USSR, lived in Denmark, after the fall of the Berlin wall moved to Germany, then returned to Russia. His first comic book — “the Red shoes”, a retelling of the fairy tale by Hans Andersen.
