In Germany the school was not given a certificate because of a debt of three euros
The girl is not paid for lunch, which she wasn’t even.
In the German city of Emden 17-year-old schoolgirl Lena Uhart has not issued a certificate of passing the first grade two years of study in the field of social pedagogy. As noted by the local edition of EZ, the reason was the debt in the amount of three euros for the gala dinner.
About the gala dinner, and raising money for his student group was notified on 23 June. The event was held two days later, however, Jugert was not present.
The girl’s mother appealed to the school where her teacher said that without the payment of a debt, the girl will not receive her diploma.
Because of the bad situation the girl will not be able to apply for the courses after the holidays.
School Director Margareta Nolte said the publication of the EZ, “the student will immediately receive a certificate,” but declined to comment further.
Board of education of the province of lower Saxony is investigating this situation.
