Matvienko considered it impossible to delay the solution of the pension issue
Moscow. June 20. INTERFAX.RU Legislators will consider the constructive proposals of the opponents of raising the retirement age in the finalization of the bill, but to delay reform not a law should be adopted in the autumn, said the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.

In her opinion, the matter is “overripe”, and reform is needed.
She noted that “each region and the Executive and the legislature — should Express their attitude to this draft law, 30 days to it.”
According to her, “it must be a dialogue, in which the regions should Express their attitude to this draft law and their comments, suggestions that they need to formulate”. She promised that all suggestions will be carefully considered.
“And if it’s possible, reasonable, they will be taken into account in finalising this bill,” — said Matvienko.
On 16 June the government submitted to the state Duma a bill to raise the retirement age from 55 to 63 years for women and from 60 to 65 years for men. Changes planned to be phased in over a transition period, which could start in 2019.
