They are still living people and welcome tourists.

The highest navigable lake Titicaca located in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia, is famous for its special attraction is the small floating Islands. These ancient artificial Islands were created from the local reeds by the Uros tribe a few centuries ago.

Once the tribe lived on the shores of lake Titicaca, but after the heyday of the Inca civilization, which they were oppressed and regularly attacked them, Orosi went into the water. Having built rafts of several layers of specially treated cane, they have not only shielded yourself from trouble, but were able to outlast their enemies.

Now young people are leaving the Islands to the big cities, but on the floating reeds are representatives of the older generation. They are engaged in fishing, chickens and rabbits and, of course, to entertain visitors, which with each passing year becomes more and more.
