Melbourne admitted the coldest metropolis in the world

Even in Iceland the morning of 19 June was warmer.

It seems that June has not worked not only in Russia. As it became known, in the second biggest city of Australia, Melbourne, the temperature dropped to almost zero degrees. No less a cold day in Sydney.

According to meteorologists, in some regions of Victoria, the snow fell and the thermometer showed -4 degrees. It should be noted that the cold felt here is much stronger, for example, the usual -2 degrees here remind -8 degrees.

Melbourne has already admitted the coldest large city on the planet. For example, when Australia was 4 degrees Celsius, Alaska was +13, +8, Peru +17, and in Ireland and Norway 14 degrees.

It is noted that June 19 was the coldest day in the history of Melbourne. Before this record and 2.8 degrees was recorded almost 150 years ago — July 21, 1869.

In fairness, we should note that it is now winter in Australia. But even in this freezing time in this region — a rarity.
