(.. .) That is why we are now creating a group in the European Union, which should stop the “Nord stream — 2″. That is why we are negotiating with Germany. Invite them to create an international consortium to manage the state gas transportation system of Ukraine”, — wrote Poroshenko in his column on Medium.

Not for economic factors to diversify. And in order to leave Ukraine without money to Finance our defense,” — says the head of state.

In his opinion, the second factor that is necessary to take into consideration is the safety factor, which will be lost in case of obtaining by Russia of the opportunity to supply natural gas to Europe bypassing Ukraine.

The gas pipeline “Nord stream — 2” will be held on the Baltic sea, connecting suppliers in Russia with consumers in Europe, its length will be more than 1.2 thousand km capacity will be 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
