MOSCOW, 17 Jun — RIA Novosti. Rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome with the navigation satellite “GLONASS-M”, told reporters on Sunday in the Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry.

“On Sunday, June 17, at 00.46 GMT from a launcher № 4 of the pad of the Plesetsk cosmodrome combat crews of the Space forces Air and space forces conducted a successful launch of the carrier rocket middle class “Soyuz-2.1 b” with the navigation spacecraft “GLONASS-M”, — stated in the message.

It is noted that pre-launch operations and launch were controlled with the help of ground automated control of spacecraft and passed in a regular mode.

The General management of the start-up was led by the commander of aerospace forces Colonel General Sergey Surovikin.

This is the second launch of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2” from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in 2018. Flight tests of space rocket complex “Soyuz-2” began at the cosmodrome Plesetsk on 8 November 2004.
