MOSCOW, 3 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Deputy of the state Duma Natalia Poklonskaya has criticized the trip of the head of Russian Imperial house of Romanov Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and her son Duke George Mikhailovich in the Crimea.

Poklonskaya called them “guests from Spain” and “self-proclaimed “Empress” and “Tsesarevich”. The Deputy noted that they were “trying to market yourself advertise and achievements of the Russian construction and automotive industries.” However, she urged “to look deeper in history”, before talking about the positive aspects of this visit.

The visit of the Romanovs in the Crimea dedicated to the 235th anniversary of joining the Peninsula to the Russian Empire. After the trip, the Princess has promised to promote the recognition of the Crimea in the West.
