In Saudi Arabia for the first time established the Ministry of culture

KUWAIT city, June 3. /TASS/. In Saudi Arabia for the first time in the history of the country created a Ministry of culture. As reported by the Saudi press Agency (COAG), king Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud signed a decree on the abolition of the Ministry of culture and information and the formation of two independent agencies.

To lead the Ministry of culture, the monarch appointed a Saudi Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan al Saud — one of the companions of the crown Prince-reformer Mohammed bin Salman. Prince Badr graduated from the same University as Prince Mohammed, but at the rate law. Up to the present time headed the Royal Commission on the development of the region of El-Ula. In his post concluded a partnership agreement with the government of France and the Institute of the Arabic language in Paris. The new Minister was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Main Department on culture, which actively participated in the development of the updated strategy for transforming the cultural sector.
