KIEV, may 31 — RIA Novosti. A suspect in the assassination of the Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko Boris Herman said that advance was aware that the contractor will attempt to cooperate with the security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the murder will be staged.

On Tuesday, the first media and then the government of Ukraine reported that the citizen of the Russian Federation Babchenko, who from 2017 worked on the TV channel ATR in Kiev, allegedly shot and killed in the stairwell of his house. However, the next day Babchenko appeared at the press conference of the security Service of Ukraine. As stated by the head of the Agency Vasyl Hrytsak, the information about the murder Babchenko was part of a special operation to prevent the assassination of a journalist. A suspect in the assassination of Boris Herman — were arrested on Wednesday in Kiev. On Thursday, a court in Kyiv has arrested Herman for two months. According to Herman, executor of the assassination was Alexey Tsymbalyuk.
“Tsymbalyuk was chosen for this mission, counterintelligence, because he is known for his activities during anti-terrorist operation (a military operation in the Donbass), he never would kill any human, especially an unarmed man. When he was chosen for this role, all knew that he will run in the SBU and will start to tell, because at the front taught them. So we definitely knew it would be a re-enactment,” said Herman at a meeting of Shevchenkovsky district court of Kiev, which broadcasts Ukrainian television channels.
Hermann stressed that all of his communications with the source from Moscow documented, and the operation was secret.
