Scientists have found that popular vitamin supplements useless

MOSCOW, may 29 — RIA Novosti. Most popular vitamin supplements do not affect health, says the study by canadian physicians from the University of Toronto, about their work according to Science Daily.

The researchers conducted a review analysis of randomized control studies published from 2012 to 2017. The results showed that calcium, and vitamins C and D, which are among the most common food additives have a positive or negative effect on cardio-vascular disease, heart attack, stroke or premature death.

Simultaneously, the study showed that folic acid and vitamin B in combination with this substance can reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke.

“A healthy diet is the best way to get sufficient vitamins and minerals. Until now, no studies on supplements have not shown that there is something better than healthy servings of unprocessed plant foods, including vegetables, fruit and nuts”, concludes study co-author Dr David Jenkins.

Earlier, American scientists have established that type II diabetes can be suppressed using high doses of vitamin D, and substances that enhance the effectiveness of its work in the cells of the pancreas.
