In the US a hurricane “Alberto”
MOSCOW, may 28 — RIA Novosti. US damage from subtropical storm “Alberto” could be over one billion dollars, reports Bloomberg with reference to the specialist research centre Enki Research Chuck Watson.
According to Watson, the immediate damage in the region from a hurricane can be from 400 to 500 million dollars. Another $ 600 million, the region may lose due to the fact that there will not come the tourists.
“Alberto” was the first subtropical storm in 2018, named.
The storm is named, when the speed of the accompanying wind reaches 62 miles per hour. After 119 kilometres per hour it becomes a hurricane.
Earlier, the authorities of the three U.S. States of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi declared a state of emergency in connection with approach of “Alberto”.
