Monument to Nicholas II can be set in St. Petersburg, said the Deputy MHD
MOSCOW, may 18 — RIA Novosti. Monument to Emperor Nicholas II could appear in St. Petersburg instead of Moscow, said the Deputy of the Moscow city Duma, head of the Commission for culture and mass communications Evgeny Gerasimov.
Earlier in mass media appeared information that the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Affairs of public associations and religious organizations Ivan Sukharev proposed to erect a monument to Nicholas II on one of the streets of Moscow.
“I don’t see some kind of iconic place in Moscow this monument. From my point of view, it would be possible to install if Zenit wants, in St. Petersburg. There is still his story was forged. Of course, at the place of execution possible. Honestly, I don’t see somebody, maybe, might, where possible, but I don’t see reference to Moscow”, — said Gerasimov RIA Novosti on Friday.
He noted that in Moscow the application for the installation of the monument to Nicholas II has not yet been reported.
In this case, as told RIA news the Chairman of the Moscow Commission on monumental art Igor Voskresensky, to them to the Commission such application have also been reported. He noted that if it goes, it will be considered in accordance with the law.
