In the port of Yakutsk there was an oil spill
The Ministry of housing and communal services of the region said that the area of contamination is about 500 sq. m.
MOSCOW, may 19. /TASS/. Oil spill occurred in the river port of Yakutsk during the dismantling of the old ship, reported Saturday on the website of the Ministry of housing and energy of Yakutia.
“During the night, carried out processing of sorbent of 150 sq. m. the Area of contamination is about 500 square meters”, — stated in the message.
It is also reported that on may 19 held a meeting of the Commission on emergency situations in the course of which said that the oil spill plans to liquidate within 48 hours.
According to the Ministry of nature protection of the Republic, the spill occurred on 13 may. The shipping company but no action was taken. Now establishing the cause of the oil spill is engaged in the Yakut environmental Prosecutor’s office.
