In the Duma introduced a bill on fines for abuse of the right to hold rallies

In Cao may be a new article providing for a fine of up to 100 thousand rubles.

Moscow. May 17. INTERFAX.RU — IN the state Duma a draft law on fines up to 100 thousand rubles for abuse of the right to hold rallies. A draft law published on Thursday in the basis of legislative activities of the lower house of the Russian Parliament. Was sponsored by deputies from the faction “United Russia” Alexander Gribov, Dmitry Vyatkin.

The draft Federal law proposes to Supplement the Code of administrative offences (Cao) of the new article 20.2 “abuse of the right to hold a public event”.

The article will provide for administrative liability to a fine for filing a notice of holding a public event without a goal, its implementation, failure to notify authorities about the refusal to hold public events or delays in filing such notice.

For citizens the penalty will make from 5 to 25 thousand rubles; for officials — from 10 to 30 thousand rubles, and for legal entities — from 20 to 100 thousand rubles.

The relevant cases on administrative offences will be brought by officials of internal Affairs bodies (police) and considered by judges of district courts.

In parallel, introduced a bill establishing an obligation for the organizer of a public event in case of refusal no later than one day notify the competent authority.
