British Forrest Gump finished his marathon offer hands and hearts

Reaching the ultimate goal, the runner took a knee before his sweetheart.

39-year-old vet from Liverpool Rob Pope became a celebrity after he decided to repeat the famous one-year-old marathon “in the footsteps of Forrest Gump”.

In April, after running, like Tom Hanks ‘ character, 24 thousand kilometers, Rob interrupted his itinerary to be present at the birth of his daughter in Liverpool. Soon after this event he returned to USA and continued to run. His ultimate goal was 25 100 km by 405 km more than overcame Forrest Gump in the eponymous film.

In the last days of the marathon Pope was accompanied by his girlfriend Nadine with their daughter who were traveling in the car.
