“Needs to maximize their mental abilities and analyze again and again. You can’t let emotions affect your decision. If you accept a solution under the influence of emotions, then, when the emotions subside, you will see that the decision was erroneous. Strong emotions impede our ability to think. They make our attitude is biased. And any decision made under the influence of bias, is incorrect,” said the Dalai Lama in an interview with RIA Novosti following the meeting with leading Russian scientists in his residence in Dharamsala.

To make the right choice, he said, needed “peace of mind” and “careful, objective study”.

“It is impossible to make a start from desires and make choices in favor of the desired outcome. Decision needs to look at things soberly,” said the Buddhist spiritual leader.

According to him, it is also very important “to consult with each other with a few friends, sincere friends.”

“After this, you should make the decision and not to feel regret. Tell yourself: I have done everything in my power, I asked the opinion of various friends, I finally made the decision and I have no regrets. I always do”, — said the Agency interlocutor.

In the beginning, he added, there may be some hesitation, fear. “But then you should arm yourself with determination. It’s important to conduct thorough research. And when the decision is made, you need to exercise will power to act decisively, despite the difficulties,” concluded the Dalai Lama.
