The EU expanded its sanctions because of the elections in Crimea, the source said
BRUSSELS, may 14 — RIA Novosti. The EU added five individuals to the sanctions list in connection with the elections in Crimea, told journalists on Monday the European diplomatic source.
Informed source told RIA Novosti that the EU discusses new sanctions list in connection with carrying out in the Crimea, the election of the President of the Russian Federation.
“Yes, the EU Council approved additional restrictive measures against five persons in connection with the elections in the Crimea”, — he said, without specifying details.
According to him, the decision will come into force on Tuesday after its official publication.
