The head of the Israeli defense Ministry appealed to Assad called for to expel the Iranians from Syria

TASS, may 11. The Israeli defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman during his visit to the city of Katzrin (Golan heights) correspondence addressed to the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and offered to expel the Iranian troops from the territory of the SAR.

This is stated in a Friday press release of the Ministry of defense of the Jewish state.

They do not help their presence in Syria poses you problems and only brings harm. Expel the Iranians and then may come a completely different life,” said Lieberman.

In his speech he also praised the success of the Israeli army and has warned of a possible euphoria.

“We need to act wisely but firmly. I do not think that everything is over, but we are watching the situation and act carefully, responsibly and purposefully”, — the Minister noted.

On Thursday morning, according to statements by the Israeli armed forces, the Iranian military unit “al-Quds” has launched 20 missiles at the forefront of the IDF in the Golan, thus nobody has suffered, destructions. Soon after, the Israeli air force were hit by a few dozen Iranian targets in Syria. According to the Agency SANA, killing three Syrian soldiers and two more were injured, and destroyed the radar station, ammunition dump and several crews.

Belonged to Syria since 1944, the Golan heights were captured by Israel in the six day war of 1967. In 1981 the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) adopted the law “On the Golan”, which unilaterally proclaimed sovereignty of the Jewish state over the territory. The annexation was declared illegal by resolution 497, the UN Security Council on 17 December 1981.
