Music critic praised the performances of Yulia Samoilova at the Eurovision song contest
MOSCOW, may 11 — RIA Novosti. Music critic Sergei’s Neighbors in an interview with RT commented on performance of Russian participants of Yulia Samoilova at the Eurovision song contest.
The second semi-final of the song contest took place in Lisbon on Thursday. Samoilova made under the sixth number with the song “I Won’t Break”. Singer from Russia is not enough of the votes of the audience and a professional jury to go through to the final.
According to Sosedova, during a speech Samoilov, “don’t know where” was “in prostration”.
“There was a place she forgot where to enter, missed, like, half of a musical phrase. It showed on TV… She should have to enter, is entering, backing vocals, and she is silent. And just realizing that the backing vocals sings, she then joined in the middle of a musical phrase. So helpless and confused smile she had. She was confused, not herself,” said the critic.
According to Neighbors, the number Samoilova was the worst in the history of the country’s participation in Eurovision.
“Of course, she’s not the only one responsible for this failure, and to a greater extent by those who prepared this room: vocal coaches, Directors in this room who was responsible for all this production,” — said the Neighbors.
Julia Samoylova was supposed to perform at the Eurovision song contest in 2017 in Kiev, but the security Service of Ukraine has banned the singer entering the country because of the performances in the Crimea. Artist called participation in the competition this year an unforgettable experience that she will treasure.
