Moscow. May 8. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation congratulated Nikol Pashinyan’s election to the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and wished him success in this responsible post, reported the press service of the Kremlin.

“Expressed their determination to further strengthen the traditionally friendly, allied Russian-Armenian relations. Emphasized the readiness to develop cooperation in the multilateral and integration associations, primarily in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union and the Treaty Organization of collective security”, — stated in the message.

Putin Pashinyan and exchanged congratulations in connection with the forthcoming celebration of the Victory Day in the great Patriotic war.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian President sent the new Prime Minister of Armenia telegram of congratulations in connection with the election.

The Armenian Parliament elected in addition to the post of Prime Minister on may 8. The decree on his appointment was signed by the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan.
