Putin and Medvedev congratulated Pashinian with the appointment of the Prime Minister of Armenia

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Nikol Pashinian, entered today into the office of Prime Minister of Armenia.

Mr Putin expressed hope that the work of Mr. Pashinian “will further strengthen the friendly and allied relations” between the countries.

The message was sent to the acting Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. According to mister Medvedev, development of trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian cooperation “fully meet the interests of Russia and Armenia”.

Nikol Pashinian approved by the Prime Minister at the second attempt. In the coming weeks he needs to form a new Cabinet and submit to Parliament its programme. After that he will fulfil the many promises, one of which concerns the conduct of the country’s early parliamentary elections.
