VTSIOM: more than 80% of Russians consider themselves happy

The main causes of happiness are family and health, said the Director of the Center for social and economic research, Russian presidential Academy of national economy and public administration Oleg chernozub.

MOSCOW, may 3. /TASS/. Over 80% of Russians consider themselves happy people, among the main reasons — the presence of family, children, good health and a job. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM), which was presented on Thursday.

“The level of happiness of Russians in the last year of maximum marks for all history of measurements. According to a recent survey, 83% of respondents considered themselves to be generally happy people. Traditionally more optimistic about their condition young people (87% among 18-24-year-olds), respondents with high income (96%) than elderly men (79% among 60 years and older) and low income (58%)”, — stated in the materials of VTSIOM.

Clarifies that the key factor of a happy life remains a family home: 30% of Russians makes you happy it is the presence of the family, 13% enjoy life because they have children. For 16% the key to happiness is good health (and their relatives), to 14% — a good job. Dissatisfaction with life is associated primarily with problems of a material nature (7%).
