Kanye West had to make excuses for the words on slavery as the choice of black

Moscow. May 2. INTERFAX.RU American rapper Kanye West has made another controversial statement, suggesting that slavery in the United States was a choice, not a conscription of the black population of the country.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. 400 years?! It looks like a choice,” he said in an interview with TMZ.

According to West, it’s like a prison for the mind.

“I like the word prison, because the term slavery is too much fused with the idea of black. Slavery for blacks, it is like the Holocaust for Jews. Prison is what unites us as one race, black and white, as a humanity,” he said.

The colonizers brought blacks from Africa c XVII to XIX century and sold them as slaves.

Kanye was obviously talking about black people being mired in the mindset of slavery being a choice, not that slaves 400 years ago had a choice.

As marks “Bi-bi-si” has already been continuing to communicate with the interviewers after the main part of the conversation, said that “now we choose slavery for themselves.”

The performer later tweeted that he raised the subject of slavery, because “we cannot afford to be in a mental prison for another 400 years.”

we are programmed to always talk and fight race issues. We need to update our conversation.

As like The Guardian, previously the West had allowed itself ambiguous statements on the subject of slavery.

“When I saw Harriet Tubman (black American abolitionists) on 20-dollar bill, I wanted to go to bitcoin. It’s like with all these films about slavery. Why do you insist on reminding us about slavery? Why didn’t you put Michael Jordan on a 30-dollar bills?” — he said then.
