Nikol Pashinyan, Vovovich was born 1 June 1975 year in Ijevan (Armenia). In 1995 graduated from the journalism Department of philological faculty of Yerevan state University.
Since the early 1990-ies worked as a correspondent and editor in various publications. In 1998-1999 , he was the founder and chief editor of “Oragir”. From 1999 year, — editor-in-chief of “Haykakan Zhamanak”.
In 2008 year was a member of the election headquarters of presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosian. After the riots of March 1-2, 2008 in Yerevan was declared wanted in 2009, surrendered to the authorities. In January 2010 year, was sentenced to seven years on charges of organizing mass riots. Later, the court halved the term, and in may 2011 he was released under an Amnesty in honor of the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
In 2012 year he was elected Deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia by proportional electoral system from the party Alliance of the “Armenian national Congress”. With 2013 became a member of “Civil contract”. With 2016 was a member of the opposition party “EFC”. In 2017 , the year he was elected to Parliament from this party.
In September 2017 year ran for mayor and came in second place with 21% votes. In April 2018 years became the organizer of protest actions against the election of Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan. 22 APR Lord Pashinyan and Sargsyan held talks, but the newly elected Prime Minister left the meeting after the opposition leader said he was willing to discuss only the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan.
