In China figured out how to teach pedestrians to cross the road on red light
Violators face a nasty surprise.
In the city of Daye, in China’s Hubei province have unusual an automatic system that sprays water on those pedestrians who try to cross the street on forbidding signal of the traffic light.
It looks like this: near the pedestrian crossing has a small yellow posts, which, in turn, are associated with the lights. The poles are also equipped with motion sensors so if someone tries to cross the road on red, the system sprays water on him twice — on both sides of the road.
There they identificeret using the system of face recognition, and then photos with name of the post near the intersection.
Until the new system is installed only on one of the busiest streets in the city, but it has already managed to reduce the number of offenses. In the near future, the local authorities intend to set up more such devices. The cost of the new development is estimated at 200 thousand dollars.
