Prima ballerina of the Bolshoi theatre Olga Smirnova, first soloist of Jacopo Tissi are unable to come to the show in the USA because of the refusal to issue visas. They were supposed to perform at the gala evening in new York on Monday.
In the issuance of visas to artists still was denied April 10, but reported only the number 18. On Monday, they had planned a gala evening in new York’s “Lincoln center”. All the tickets were sold out in advance. According to the organizers of the event, the decision of the Ministry of internal security of the United States may have political motives.
Wednesday on the Agency’s website published a message, stating that artists “April 10, 2018 was denied a petition for nonimmigrant worker visa”.

Morse said that Smirnov is now considered a “ballerina in the world”, so the refusal of permission to enter the United States it “amazing”.
Representatives of the Bolshoi theatre announced that have another point of view and assume that a work visa for Smirnova just don’t have time to draw.
“Most likely, we are talking about a technical failure, — quotes the statement of the press service of the theater, RIA “Novosti”. Is a work visa, which just did not make”.
