Rescuers have freed a baby elephant who fell down the well (video)
To help the baby come not only locals, but a herd of elephants.
Touching moment rescue a small elephant in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka captured on video. A four month old baby strayed from the herd and fell into a six-foot pit, when he wanted to drink water. He loudly called for help and was heard by locals who called rescuers.
The situation was complicated by the fact that appeals the elephant heard his mother and other elephants from the herd. The professionals had to hold the adult animals, so you can safely save the child.
In order to free the elephant, had to dig up the ground around the well with an excavator and remove the upper cemented block.
Fortunately, all went well and after a five-hour rescue operation of a baby elephant managed to release. Before releasing the child to the mother, the rescuers examined him and applied the ointment on the scratches and bruises. After “meeting” with the mother elephant chased after her to the nearby forest.
