KYIV, APR 6 — RIA Novosti. The captain of the Russian vessel “Nord” will be released only on April 10, the case is under the control of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova said on Friday the press-service of the Ombudsman of Ukraine.

Kherson city court on Friday elected the captain of a measure of restraint in form of detention for two months with the right of bail.

The captain considers the Kherson court. The judge chose the measure of restraint detention until may 31, with possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 35240 (1352 dollars).

“The Deposit already made, but will release the captain of the ship on Tuesday, April 10. This case is under the personal control of the authorized Lyudmila Denisova,” — said in a statement on the website of the Ombudsman.

Representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for human rights was present on Friday at the hearings in Mariupol and Kherson in the team’s attitude and the ship’s captain. According to the press service, the crew of the ship “Nord”, consisting of eight persons were taken on Friday at a hearing in Mariupol. The case considered four judges, the interests of the crew to defend two lawyers. During the trial, the judge Dmitry Dyachenko has drawn attention to the fact that “none of the crew members did not give up Ukrainian citizenship, and as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is temporarily occupied, they remain citizens of Ukraine.”

Ukrainian border guards March 25 detained a fishing boat “Nord” under the flag of Russia in the Azov sea with 10 crew members. All of them are citizens of Russia. The owner stated that the ship is detained unlawfully, and the actions of border guards threat to the lives of crew members. Management of FSB of the Crimea opened a criminal case under article 211 of the criminal code “hijacking an aircraft, sea vessel or railway rolling stock”. Ukrainian court on March 30 arrested the vessel “Nord”.

For team members, administrative reports, and the captain was charged with “violation of the order of entry in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and departure from it with the purpose of causing harm to the interests of the state”, to it threatens till five years of imprisonment.
