30-year-old Edward Fraser took her three months to plan the perfect proposal of marriage. Since his beloved Rachel Herman just loves crosswords, he decided to use it to her advantage and came up with a rebus with words that had meaning for both of them, and went with him to the editor of the local newspaper.
Edward put together the words so that the top of the crossword puzzle turned phrase: “Edward asks R. (Rachel)”. And at the bottom — “will you Marry me?”.
Of course, his sweetheart are unable to resist such a proposal and said Yes. According to Rachel, she began to wonder about the strangeness of the crossword puzzle in the middle, but wasn’t sure, and therefore waited until the end to “clarify the situation”.
