ANKARA, April 3. /TASS/. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin arrived to the Palace of the President of Turkey for talks with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan. After the official ceremony of meeting, negotiations began between the two leaders.

At the entrance of the Palace, Erdogan was welcomed by his Russian counterpart. The arrival of the President of the Russian Federation on the square near the Palace was built a guard of honor. Military orchestra performed national anthems of Russia and Turkey.

Along with the soldiers in modern full dress uniform, along the carpet lined up the soldiers with 16 flags, which were the official symbols of Turkey and its predecessor States in the previous century. Next to each flag was a military in the form of the era.

After the meeting ceremony, the presidents went inside to speak before the seventh meeting of the cooperation Council of the highest level and to participate in the ceremony of pouring the first concrete at the NPP “Akkuyu”.

As previously reported to journalists by the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, during the conversation, the leaders will discuss key issues of bilateral agenda and regional and other international issues, including the situation in Syria. It is expected that the leaders will continue the search for joint solutions for a political settlement in Syria in line with promoting the inter-Syrian dialogue on the basis of generally recognized principles of international law.

“It is planned to discuss the content of the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Russia, Turkey and Iran on the Syrian issue, to be held the following day, Wednesday, April 4,” — said Ushakov.
