Cold weather in early spring, extended the Amsterdam players the pleasure of winter fun.

Amsterdam, capital of Netherlands, is known for its canal system — the whole Central part of the city riddled with waterways.

The largest of these channels, the Central Prinsegracht, Keizersgracht and the Herengracht. The temperature dropped so low that the channels froze and turned into a perfect natural ice skating rinks. So enterprising Amsterdam players went to ride exactly where in the warm season you can see boats and boats.

Especially the Dutch love skating. It is almost a national sport, they are fond of people of all ages. Perhaps that is why at the professional level, the Netherlands is ahead of the rest in speed skating. At the Olympics in Pyeongchang representatives of the Netherlands has won 7 gold medals out of 14 played.

Looks like the city-rink — look at the photo below. Alas, on Monday, March 5, weather forecasters promise warming to +8, and ice fields turn back into the channels.
